Restoring HOA Common Areas can be done with Lawn Spraying (Fertility and Pest Management)
Spring 2012In 2007 Tierra Verde Landmark HOA requested a proposal for the lawn spraying (fertility and pest management) of their common areas – an area of about 1 acre of St Augustine turf dotted with Live Oak Trees and a privacy fence foundation planting. The common areas were in very poor shape and needed repair because the existing lawn spraying company failed to control chinch bugs and grubs. The HOA had budgeted $10,000 for sod replacement and set out to hire a new lawn spraying company to prevent another failure.

This beautiful lawn was not always this beautiful. In October of 2010 the owner of this lawn called and asked if I was taking any new customers – she had a special project for me. She was very upset – her lawn was a disaster. In October of 2010, the lawn was scalped, chinch bugs had killed large areas and most of the lawn was covered in weeds. She was ready to replace the whole lawn.
