Concrete Calf Lawn Art
I am a lover of lawn art! From Whirligigs to lawn gnomes – I love 'em.
Here is one of my favorites – a concrete calf. Obliviously its' original use was probably at some creamery or dairy, but it now occupies a prominent spot at one of my clients homes.
Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Smith for brightening my day with their whimsical bovine lawn art!
Lawn GnomePerenial favorite, these colorful little guys hide amongst trees and shrubs and often guard entrances. From Wikipedia: “The first garden gnomes were made in Gräfenroda,[4] a town known for its ceramics in Thuringia, Germany, in the mid-1800s. Philip Griebel made terracotta animals as decorations, and produced gnomes based on local myths as a way for people to enjoy the stories of the gnomes' willingness to help in the garden at night. The garden gnome quickly spread across Germany and into France and England, and wherever gardening was a serious hobby.”
Herd of T Rexs'These little guys were observed traveling through a lawn. Turns out the owner was being “punked” for being an old fossil on his upcoming birthday.
Potty TrainingDubious use of the ol’ potty, but the flower was stunning
