Large Estate Lawns Require Agronomist to Do the Right Action at the Right Time

Estate Lawn July of 2011

This beautiful lawn was not always this beautiful. In October of 2010 the owner of this lawn called and asked if I was taking any new customers – she had a special project for me. She was very upset – her lawn was a disaster. In October of 2010, the lawn was scalped, chinch bugs had killed large areas and most of the lawn was covered in weeds. She was ready to replace the whole lawn.

What I Saw in the Lawn

I saw potential to restore the lawn. It was a project, that was certain, but there was enough St Augustine grass remaining to recover and restore the beautiful lawn.

The Process of Restoration

I explained to the owner some areas  may need the sod replaced but most of the lawn would recover -  saving a lot of money. All that was needed was an agronomist to start the recovery process by ridding the lawn of the bugs and weeds without further damaging the lawn and applying at the right time, the right amount of the right fertilizers . The whole process of restoration was dependent upon doing the right action at the right time.

And that is exactly what I did. For months I applied herbicides and insecticides. I custom blended fertilizers and applied them with special equipment. I prepared the lawn all winter in preparation for the spring flush growth. The lawn did exactly as expected. The weeds and the insects were gone and the fertility levels were perfect. The lawn flourished.

A Beautiful Setting for the Home – Now and the Future!

Now, in July of 2011, they have beautiful setting for the home. It took ten months to go from disaster to beautiful lawn. The savings was in the tens of thousands of dollars.

All of this was done very quietly, very safely and very discreetly.
