Dry Weather Ahead – Be Sure to Turn ON the Irrigation Now!

Be sure that you are watering your lawn on a regular schedule so that you do not allow the soil to become dry. Our dry season is rapidly approaching and it is critical to have the irrigation system running at maximum capacity. The irrigation system needs to be running, covering the entire lawn and running as much as law permits - now!

The dry season in Pinellas County is from March until July 1st. The temperatures may not be hot and the days long but the soils remain the same and need to watered as often as law permits to sustain a St Augustine lawn.

Failure to to water as much and as often as law permits will create dry soils and weak turf. Falling behind in water now will make catching up impossible during the hot dry times ahead .

Dry soils, weak grass and hot dry weather will destroy your lawn and no amount of fertilizer or insecticide will save it – it needs water!

So start watering now, before it is too late!
